About: Cryptolepis sanguinolenta is a climbing shrub with beautiful yellow flowers that grows in several Asian and African countries. Our source is presently from Africa. The bright golden roots are collected from the wild for local use as a dye and medicine. The taste is quite bitter, yet refreshing! In traditional African medicine, Cryptolepis root is used to treat a host of diseases, including malaria. Compounds isolated from this plant have been shown to have systemic anti-bacterial and anti-protozoal properties along with anti-microbial activity. It can also be used externally.
Recommended Dosage: 60- 240 drops OR 1/2 - 2 tsp 2 times per day in juice or water. Children under 12 take half the adult dosage. *Please note our recommended dosage may differ from other sources.
